Kent P. O’Brien, age 56, entered eternal rest on November 10, 2025, at his home in Ansonia, after a three-year battle with acute myeloid leukemia.

Born in Bridgeport on March 18, 1969, he was the son of Dorothy G. Bailey Fisher of Ansonia and the late John P. O’Brien. Kent was a resident of Ansonia for most of his life and graduated from Ansonia High School in 1987. He held several jobs in the Valley area including at the Knights of Columbus in New Haven, BHcare in Ansonia and Stop and Shop in Ansonia. Kent was a client at BHcare in Ansonia and a member of the Valley Social Club. He loved listening to music and had an appreciation for all genres. Kent also enjoyed movies and documentaries.

In addition to his mother Dorothy, Kent is survived by his step-father, Stanley A. Fisher of Ansonia, aunt, Roberta Persico of New York, longtime sweetheart and companion, Sophie McDonald, and a few close friends.
