Wendell Sanford, 95, of Ansonia entered into eternal rest on Thursday Nov. 13 in Lord Chamberlin. He is the Husband to Roma (Sessler) Sanford. Born in Sandwich, Mass on Sept. 20, 1930, son of the late Hubert and Christina (Chase) Sanford and was employed for SNET Co as a truck driver. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Korean War.

Survivors besides his Wife are daughters Debra (Victor) Saavedra of Branford, Cheryl (Gerald) Childs of Ansonia, Robyn (Robert) Krugel of Tenn. and Wendy (Daniel) LaRese of Tenn., son Scott (Monica) Sanford of Plainville, brother Edsel Sanford of Wallingford, ten grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 11 brothers and sisters. Burial will be in CT Veterans Cemetery Middletown to be announced in the future.
