SEYMOUR – An Oxford woman was cited for running a red light Tuesday (Nov. 18) after a crash involving a school bus.

No injuries were reported.

Seymour Police Chief John Bucherati said a 68-year-old Oxford woman was traveling east on Route 67 when she ran a red light at North Street at about 2:30 p.m.. Her vehicle was hit by a Seymour High School bus traveling through the intersection.

There were nine students on board the bus. The driver from Oxford was issued a ticket.

Seymour Fire Chief Chris Edwards said the students were released to their parents on the scene. He said personnel from Seymour ambulance, the Seymour Fire Department and Seymour police responded to the accident.
