Jason J. Hemenway, age 53, entered eternal rest on November 29, 2025, at his home in Shelton. He was the loving son of Thomas Hemenway Sr. of Ansonia and the late Ann (Donofrio) Hemenway.
Jason was born in Derby on May 19, 1972. He was a graduate of West Haven High School. Jason enjoyed nature and the outdoors finding peacefulness in its tranquility. His love of fishing and being by the water was most evident when he was fishing with his cousin, Peter Meginis. He loved music and played both acoustic and electric guitar. He also expressed his creativity through painting and drawing.
In addition to his father Thomas, Jason leaves to cherish his memory, brother, Thomas Hemenway Jr. (Shelley)of Wallingford, sisters, Karen Hemenway and Christine Hemenway (Griffin) both of Ansonia, niece and nephews, Alex Piccolo, Clarissa Piccolo, Sterling Griffin, and Thomas Hemenway, III and his godmother, Sandy Abel as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister, Annmarie Piccolo.
Jason’s funeral service and entombment in Mount Saint Peter Mausoleum in Derby will be private and at the convenience of the family.
