Nora (Thompson) Meeker, age 79 of Seymour, beloved wife of the late Ricky Alan Meeker, entered peaceful rest on Monday, December 8, 2025 at Shady Knoll Healthcare, Seymour. Born in Derby on April 14, 1946, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Marian (Miller) Thompson.
Nora had a zest for life and loved spending time with family and friends. She was an avid Boston Red Sox and Minnesota Vikings fan, loved kayaking, and always looked forward to vacations in Maine and California.
Survivors include her loving children, Jacklyn Meeker and her husband Darren Field of Seymour, and Jason Haines of CA; brothers, James Thompson and his wife Linda, and Jackie “John” Thompson; her beloved niece and goddaughter, Susan, as well as her granddog, Penny. In addition to her beloved husband and soul mate, Ricky, Nora was predeceased by her parents, her son Jess Haines, and her sister Karen Warycha.
