On 1/23/26 at6:21 pm the Echo Hose Co. #1, White Hills Co. #5, the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 and the Derby FD responded to a structure fire at #17 Liberty Street. Upon arrival firefighters found a fire on a second-floor porch of a two-family home. All occupants escaped safely. Firefighters had the fire under control in about 30 minutes but not before the fire extensively damaged a second-floor apartment and the exterior. Echo Ambulance stood-by at the scene. Huntington Co. #3 and Ansonia FD covered at Shelton stations during the incident.
