Robert “Butch” Pysz, age 74, entered eternal rest on February 6, 2026, at Milford Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Donna M. (DiMauro) Pysz.

Born in Derby on June 5, 1951, he was the son of the late Eugene “Skip” and Sophie (Matuszewski) Pysz. Robert was a resident of Ansonia for most of his life graduating from Ansonia High School in 1969 where he was the captain of the Lavender football team, proudly wearing #53. He later moved to Seymour. Bob began his working career at the former Charlton Press in Derby; he was then employed for Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford and retired as a Judicial Marshall for the State of Connecticut. He was very passionate about bodybuilding and weightlifting, dedicating himself to fitness. Robert loved to cook, especially his famous tomato sauce, and he believed no meal was complete without a sweet treat which was his favorite. He enjoyed fishing and tending to his yard where he was able to watch the beautiful birds.  Robert was a fan of the New York Giants and he liked listening to the Rolling Stones.

Robert leaves to cherish his memory, son, Robert J. Pysz Jr. (Lindsey) of North Haven, granddaughters, Grace, and Regan Pysz, brother, Richard Pysz of Seymour, along with many cousins,  and his canine buddy Boss.
