SEYMOUR – Here are some highlights from the Seymour Police Department’s calls for service from Feb. 16, 2026 through Feb. 22, 2026.

Seymour police received 214 calls for service and made four arrests between Feb. 16, 2026 and Feb. 22, 2026.

FEB. 16, 2026

12:56 a.m. Police charged Robert Greene, 47, of Newington, with illegally operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol/drugs.

8:31 a.m. Police charged a 46-year-old Seymour man with second-degree breach of peace.

1:17 p.m. A caller told police someone driving a red truck was taking pictures of houses on Roosevelt Drive (Route 34). An officer located the individual and several others who were taking pictures of 12 documented juvenile bald eagles flying in the area of the Housatonic River.

7:37 p.m. A caller told police two cars parked in the Seybridge Plaza parking lot on New Haven Road (Route 67) had their windows smashed and purses stolen.

7:55 p.m. Police charged a 43-year-old Seymour man with criminal violation of a restraining order.

FEB. 17, 2026

9:50 a.m. Police responded to the scene of a two-car motor vehicle accident at Church and Bank streets. No injuries were reported.

12:43 p.m. Police received a 911 hang-up call from a residence on Birchwood Road. A woman told police her child accidentally pressed the emergency button on her smart watch, and there were no issues.

3:59 p.m. Police issued a misdemeanor to a driver at Maple and Pearl streets.

4:57 p.m. A Bungay Road resident told police she was using her computer and a pop-up box appeared, asking her to contact her bank. The resident gave her social security number, but police said she didn’t appear to have suffered any financial losses at this time.  

FEB. 18, 2026  

2 a.m. Police charged Steve S. Nakhoune, a 34-year-old Shelton man, with operating an unregistered motor vehicle, improper use of marker plates, license and registration, illegally operating a motor vehicle without insurance, use of drug paraphernalia, illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle and violation of a standing criminal protective order.

6:36 a.m. Police were called to a residence on Old Ansonia Road for a report of an unresponsive man.

8:45 a.m. A Beach Street resident told police the rear window of his car was smashed overnight.

2:09 p.m. A caller told police someone was driving erratically on Route 188, turned onto Roosevelt Drive (Route 34) and headed into Oxford. Police said the vehicle was gone upon their arrival.

10:54 p.m. A caller told police there was a fake, bloodied pig head on the stoop of Lucky Deli on Maple Street.

FEB. 19, 2026

9:17 a.m. A Mountain Road resident police he was the victim of identify theft.

12:07 p.m. A Hill Street resident told police a window in his car was damaged by a BB gun.

4:38 p.m. Police were called to a business on Day Street for a report of a burglar alarm. Police said it was a false alarm and there were no issues.

5:13 p.m. A Balance Rock Road resident told police he heard screaming coming from the apartment complex’s parking lot but was unable to provide police with a description of any individuals. Police said the incident was unfounded.

FEB. 20, 2026

7:36 a.m. A Legion Road resident told police her brother has been receiving suspicious emails and believes his account was hacked.

11:13 a.m. A Hill Street resident told police a rear window on his home was damaged by a BB gun.

4:39 p.m. A resident told police she’s been receiving unwanted phone calls from an ex-boyfriend who is incarcerated in Cheshire.

7:31 p.m. Police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident at Bank Street and Old Drive.

7:51 p.m. A Chamberlin Road resident told police he’s been receiving harassing phone calls

FEB. 21, 2026

1:38 a.m. A caller told police there was loud arguing coming from the parking lot at Pub 67 on West Street. An officer checked the area and said the parking lot was quiet and empty.

10:30 a.m. A Chamberlin Road resident told police she received a fraudulent check and was advised by her bank to report it to police.

6:54 p.m. Police responded to the scene of a two-car motor vehicle accident at Broad and Main streets. No injuries were reported.

8:39 p.m. Police assisted a driver of a semi-truck that was stuck in the road at Bank and Wakely streets.

FEB. 22, 2026

12:32 p.m. A caller told police someone in a light blue pick-up truck was driving erratically near Botsford and Great Hill roads. Police said the truck was gone upon their arrival.

1:15 p.m. Police responded to the scene of a motor vehicle accident on Franklin Street.

8:26 p.m. Police assisted a driver whose car got stuck in the snow going up Martha Street.  

10:22 p.m. The public works department reported that two cars on Frances Drive were blocking the snowplows from clearing the road. Police contacted the owners and the cars were moved.

11:05 p.m. Police assisted a driver whose car was stuck on Derby Avenue. Police said the car was leaking anti-freeze, the right front tire was blown out and there was damage to the undercarriage and driver side door.
