ANSONIA – Here are some highlights from the Ansonia Police Department’s calls for service from Feb. 20, 2026 through Feb. 24, 2026.

During a city-wide parking ban enacted in response to last weekend’s blizzard, police logs recorded 13 parking violations.

Friday, Feb. 20, 2026

6:12 a.m. Police charged a 29-year-old woman with third-degree assault, disorderly conduct, and interfering with an officer/resisting arrest on West Main Street.

11:22 a.m. Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries on Pershing Drive.

5:26 p.m. An officer conducted a traffic stop on Tremont Street.

7:59 p.m. A caller dialed 911, but hung up.

Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026

1:42 a.m. Police charged Tyree Blackwell, 30, of Stratford, with driving under the influence, evading responsibility, failure to insure a motor vehicle, driving on a suspended license, failure to drive on the right, and interfering with an officer/resisting arrest.

11:10 a.m. Police received a report of a disabled motor vehicle on Pershing Drive.

1:49 p.m. A caller reported suspicious activity on Edgewood Avenue.

3:00 p.m. On South Cliff Street, police charged two men, ages 47 and 24, with disorderly conduct. Officers also charged the 24-year-old man with risk of injury to a child

4:36 p.m. Police were called to West Main Street for a report of shoplifting.

Sunday, Feb. 22, 2026

12:30 p.m. Police recorded the first violation after a weather-related parking ban went into effect, though records do not show where.

3:17 p.m. A caller on Church Street reported being harassed electronically.

5:16 p.m. Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Pershing Drive.

7:41 p.m. Officers were called in response to a juvenile matter on North Main Street.

10:48 p.m. Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Prindle Avenue.

Monday, Feb. 23, 2026

1:19 a.m. Police were called for a medical assist on Webb Terrace, after a carbon monoxide detector went off.

8:57 a.m. Officers responded to a motor vehicle accident near Beaver Street and Central Street.

11:34 a.m. A caller reported a low-hanging wire on Holbrook Street.

12:06 p.m. Police were called to Tomlinson Street after a caller reported neighbors blowing snow into the road.

3:40 p.m. A caller reported a vehicle getting stuck on Sixth Street.

3:58 p.m. Police were called as firefighters battled a truck fire on Wakelee Avenue.

4:50 p.m. Officers were called to Webster Drive after public works employees reported that a woman was shouting at their plows and not letting them pass.

Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2026

8:51 a.m. Police received a report of a fallen utility wire on Benz Street.

3:53 p.m. Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on West Main Street.

6:46 p.m. A caller dialed 911 but hung up.

8:26 p.m. Officers were called to Dwight Street for a report of disorderly conduct.
