Barbara “Bambi” C. Tardif, age 91, of Shelton, entered into rest on Sunday, February 22, 2026 at Apple Rehab Shelton Lakes. Barbara was born in Bridgeport on January 27, 1935, daughter of the late Francis and Rhena Ruth (Sawyer) Higgins, and lived in Shelton since 2013, coming from New Hampshire.
She worked for many years as a bartender. Bambi was always the life of the party. She loved to celebrate and enjoy the company of her dear family and friends.
She is the beloved mother of Mark and Robert Chevrette and proud grandmother of Michellee and David Chevrette. She also leaves a sister, Marcia Volturno, and was predeceased by her brother, Robert Higgins.
The Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, has been entrusted with the funeral arrangements, which are private.
