Dan B. Taylor, age 80 of Newnan, GA, formerly of Ansonia, CT, beloved husband of the
late Susan Bobbins Taylor; died peacefully at Yale-New Haven Hospital on April 8, 2026.

Born in Memphis, TN on July 17, 1945, he was the son of the late Dan B. Taylor and Gertude Jones Taylor. Mr. Taylor was a career serviceman, entering the military at
age 17. He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, earning the rank of
Master Sergeant. Following his discharge from active duty, Mr. Taylor enlisted in the CT
Army National Guard where he worked as a heavy equipment mechanic in Stratford, CT
until his retirement in 2005. In the 1970’s, Mr. Taylor also served the city of Ansonia as
a Canine Police Officer.

He enjoyed the shooting sports and guns of all types. He used his mechanical talent working on classic cars and motorcycles and enjoyed the thrill of a long, back roads cruise.

He is survived by his devoted children, Gary (Maya) Taylor, Gina Taylor, Krystle (AD) Wallace of GA, Cody (Stephany Rodriguez) Taylor, Nicole, and Cheyanne Taylor of CT, Marco (Rachel) Taylor of NC, Cherokee (Richard) Town of KS, Nicole Taylor of CT; sisters, Thelma Marie Taylor of TN, Shirley Ann Boykin of Il, Earlice Taylor of TN; 15 cherished grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Veronica Waller and 4 siblings.

Family and friends may call on Thursday, April 16, 2026, from 4:00 to 6:30 PM at the
Wakelee Memorial Funeral Home, 167 Wakelee Avenue, Ansonia. A Celebration of Life
Service with Full Military Honors will take place at 6:30 following visiting hours.
