John “Jack” George Colwell, Jr., age 60, of Beacon Falls entered into rest on Monday June 9, 2026 in Griffin Hospital with his loving family by his side. He is the devoted husband of 14 years to Tammy (Norling) Colwell.
He was born in Derby on February 16, 1966 beloved son of LInda (Weber) Colwell and the late John “Jack” George Colwell, Sr. and was a resident of Derby until moving to Beacon Falls in 2020.
Jack was employed for over 30 years with the USPS becoming the Post office Operation Manager overseeing 95 post offices. He was an Eagle Scout, who loved to play Hockey, Men’s Softball and Golf. He was an avid Bruce Springsteen Fan and also a NY Yankees and NY Giants Fan. He also coached in Derby and Beacon Falls Little League.
He is the loving father of Jennifer Dombroski and her husband Karl, Karen Toledano and her husband Reagan, Laci Sullivan, Dustin Colwell, loving grandfather of Zoe and Eli Dombroski, Jude and John Toledano and beloved brother of William “Bill” Colwell (Jennifer), Kathy Colwell and her husband Damien Csech. He is also survived by several Aunt, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.
Jack’s family would like to thank the staff at Griffin Hospital, especially Stephanie, Nancy, April, Rachelle, Liz, Tammy, Gail, Brian and Imber.
Friends may call on Friday June 12, 20206 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St. Derby. His funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery.
