Helen E. Kopcik, age 83, of Shelton, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2026. Helen was born at Park City Hospital in Bridgeport on August 25, 1942 to the late Nicholas and Anna (Feltovich) Kopcik (Kopchik). She grew up in Bridgeport and later moved to Vermont. She returned to Connecticut, a few years ago, to be closer to family, residing at Wesley Heights, Shelton.
Helen was a kind, compassionate person who loved people, animals, traveling and the outdoors. She was deeply loved by her family members who are left behind. Helen leaves behind her nephew Nicholas (Melissa) Kopcik of Newtown, her niece Dawn (Bruce) Adams of Seymour, her nephew, John Savorey of Shelton and several great nephews and a great niece, as well as her long-time friend, Carole Smith of Burlington, VT, whom she shared many an adventure with. She was predeceased by her parents, as well as her sisters, Mary Savorey and Anne Wallace, as well as her brother, Nicholas Kopcik.
Her favorite past time was spending time with family, as well as taking trips with her friends from Wesley Heights.
