ANSONIA — The registrar of voters’ office shared the following announcement for voting in the Democratic primary election in Ansonia, scheduled Aug. 3.
The below announcement includes early voting and absentee ballot info, as well as polling locations for primary election day.
Registrar of Voters: Democratic Primary Voting
Hello residents of the City of Ansonia. This is an announcement from the Registrars of Voters regarding the upcoming Primary Election. Please pay careful attention to the following details.
Please note that there is only a Democratic Primary occurring this year, and only registered Democrats may vote. There is no Republican primary.
Early Voting will be held for seven days, Monday, August 3rd to Sunday, August 9th, at the Hilltop Hose Company at 80 Pulaski Highway. Hilltop Hose is the ONLY place designated for Early Voting. Hours for most days are 10am to 6pm, except August 4th and 6th, when we will have extended hours from 8am to 8pm.
If you choose not to vote early, you can, of course, vote on Primary Election Day, which is Tuesday, August 11th. Polls open at 6am and close at 8pm.
Polling locations are as follows:
Wards 1 & 2 at Abundant Life Fellowship Ministries, at 195-199 North Main St. Please use the Fifth Street entrance.
Ward 3 at Ansonia Rescue & Medical Services building at 22 West Main St.
Ward 4 and 5 at Ansonia Middle School Gymnasium, 115 Howard Ave. Entrance is on Day Street (Right side of gym).
Ward 6 at Prendergast School Gymnasium, 59 Finney Street
Ward 7 at Mead School Cafetorium, 75 Ford Street
Absentee ballot applications are now available from the Town & City Clerk.
