Mary Pauline Martin, age 65, of Ansonia, entered into rest on Thursday, July 29, 2026 at Yale-New Haven Hospital. She is the devoted wife of 46 years to Darrell B. Martin.Mary was born in Chatham, NY, on September 10, 1960, daughter of the late Daniel and Leona (Gregoire) Basque.
She was a longtime substitute teacher in the Ansonia and Derby Public School systems.
Mary is the beloved mother of Brandon J. Martin and proud grandmother of Payton Lee Dedam. She was predeceased by her daughter, Amanda Lee Martin.
On Tuesday, friends are invited to greet the family from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 4 at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd., Shelton. Her funeral service will be at 6 p.m. at the parlor.
