Embrace the autumn season with a stroll through our woodlands, meadows, and wetlands. Enjoy the beauty and crisp fall air while learning about local flora and fauna. Conservation Corps Saturday Work Session
Saturday, Nov. 14th from 9:30am to 11:30
Curious about invasive plants and what they look like in the autumn? Come along and help our Volunteer Conservation Corps find these resilient plants. Learn how species like barberry, burning bush, and oriental bittersweet continue to spread even when the temperature drops. It’s a great opportunity to see how these plants adapt and what we can do to manage them. All experience levels welcome! 12 years and older welcome! Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Moonlight Night Hike
Friday, Nov. 20th from 5pm to 7
Join Nature Center naturalists on a hike by the light of the moon! Listen for the sounds of autumn while we use our night vision and other senses for this after-dark expedition in the park.
Dress in layers and wear proper foot gear for this moderate hike on sometimes uneven terrain. Inclement weather or dangerous conditions will cancel the hike. All ages welcome; no pets or strollers. Registration required. Please arrive on time, or hike may leave without you. Suggested donation $5
