Lillian (Aleskewich) Bartolotta, age 96, a resident of both Ansonia and Orange, entered eternal rest on October 30, 2026. She was the loving wife of the late Louis Bartolotta, who passed away on the same date nine years earlier.

Born in Ansonia on July 10, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Evan and Anna (Chupko) Aleskewich. Lillian was employed by the State of Connecticut Public Defender’s office in Milford and Derby until her retirement. She was a devout communicant of Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia where she was a member of the
Rosary Guild, played in their bocce league and volunteered at the annual Italian Festa. Lillian was an avid duck pin bowler and an active member of the Ansonia Senior Center participating in their chorus, Wii bowling games, and exercise classes.

Lillian served as both the Vice Chair of the Ansonia Democratic Town Committee and the State Central Committee. She was also a delegate to the 1976 Democratic National Convention. After moving to the Civita Care Center at West River, Milford, she was active in attending Bible study, general social events and assumed a position of leadership among the residents. She was happy to have lived to see her oldest grandson graduate law school and her youngest grandson marry and succeed in self-employment.

Lillian leaves to cherish her memory, son-in-law, Lucian R. Gagliola, grandsons, Lucian C. Gagliola and Jordan Gagliola (Nataly) as well as a robust extended family. She was predeceased by her daughter, Lynne Gagliola and sisters Marian Huck and Betty Wojciechowski.
