William “Bill” C. Apicerno, age 69, of Ansonia peacefully entered into rest on Saturday August 23 in Bridgeport Hospital. He was born in Rhode Island on December 19, 1955 the son of the late Margaret (Wheeler) Niles. He devoted his life to his profession of Culinary Arts and Hospitality and loved to share his passion for the culinary arts with others. Whether it be by cooking them a fantastic meal or sharing a few tricks of the trade, his love and passion for the culinary arts was bestowed upon all who knew him.
He proudly ascended to the level of Master Chef and was awarded the CT Chef of the Year (2011). He also enjoyed reading and listening to music daily.
Bill was survived by his children Kayleigh Mihalko and her husband John, Allison Lucia and her husband Tom, Paul Apicerno and Emily Apicerno and his grandchildren Jaxon Lucia, Parker Lucia, Victor Mihalko and Reyna Mihalko. He was predeceased by his brother Paul Apicerno.
Bill’s cremation has been entrusted to the care of the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Rd. Shelton. His ashes will be buried at his family plot in Rhode Island with his immediate family present. Online condolences can be left for his family at www.riverviewfh.com.
