It has been an absolute honor to work with Frank as he served the City of Ansonia on the Board of Aldermen for almost four years,” Cassetti said in a statement Thursday. He had previously served on the Board of Apportionment and Taxation, and the city’s Recreation Commission.

DeLibero’s wife is an elected member of the Ansonia Board of Education.

DeLibero was originally from Stratford and had worked at Sikorsky Aircraft before retiring.

Above all, Frank was an individual who put family first and was completely devoted to his friends and community. I feel honored to have known Frank and his wonderful family,” Cassetti said.

The mayor has ordered the city’s flags at half-mast. A black shroud has been placed over his seating position on the Board of Aldermen.
