ANSONIA — UPDATE: ON MARCH 15, GOV. LAMONT ISSUED AN EXECUTIVE ORDER: The order directs classes at public schools throughout the entire state to be canceled effective Tuesday, March 17 and lasting through at least March 31.
Ansonia Public Schools sent word late Thursday that schools would be closed Friday, March 13.
The following information was relayed:
“Ansonia Public schools will be cancelled tomorrow, Friday, March 13th for all students. All faculty and certified staff will report to work 9:00am to 3:00pm.”
The district had initially planned to close early Friday.
