From the Derby Mayor’s Office:
“There will be blasting at the Derby Athletic Field Complex starting today (Sept. 17).
The blasting will be sporadic over the next two weeks as the contractor encounters ledge in and around the former softball field hill (Chatfield Street).
Residents in the immediate area of the field have already been notified by the contractor, but the Mayor would like everyone to be aware of the blasting activity so they are not surprised or alarmed if they hear it.”
