Tree Trimmer Hit By BB Potshot In Ansonia

An employee of a tree trimming company was shot by a BB gun in Ansonia Thursday.

He did not have to go to the hospital, according to police.

About 10 a.m. a worker from Lewis Tree Service said he was shot by a BB gun while working on Myrtle Avenue, Ansonia Police Lt. Andrew Cota said in an email.

The employee was hit in the arm by a pellet, Cota said.

Officers were unable to locate anyone in the area and the workers didn’t see anyone in the area,” Cota said.

The company has been working throughout the lower Valley, trimming branches from power lines.
