FAIRFIELD — Wanna laugh this weekend? Buy tickets to see Shuli Egar at Fairfield Comedy Club. He’ll be there Saturday (Sept. 24) at 8 p.m. performing standup comedy. Click this link to buy tickets.
Shuli is having a moment, as they say. Early last year he left the Howard Stern Show after 15 years. He felt he had hit a wall in terms of what he could do on the show, so he opted to strike out on his own and start a podcast (he also left New York to move to, of all places, Alabama). In the last few months his podcast, ‘The Shuli Show,’ has taken off; thanks, in part, to a series he calls ‘The Uncle Rico Show.’
DERBY — The Valley’s grumpiest podcast returns this week to offer their thoughts on “Thor: Love & Thunder,” a Marvel movie that didn’t sit well with some MCU fans, who felt it was just too silly.
The “Insufferable” hosts are split on this one, with one host barely unable to make it through the flick while the other admired its wildly uneven shifts in tone.
“Thor: Love & Thunder” was recently released to Disney Plus.
Its unique voice was crafted by director Taika Waititi, who co-wrote the screenplay with Jennifer Kaytin Robinson. Waititi is part of the creative force behind “What We Do In The Shadows,” a 2014 film that is a comedic masterpiece; he’s the executive producer of the equally funny television show based on the movie’s concept.

NAUGATUCK — The Valley’s grumpiest podcast returns with special guest Christine Caprilozzi, the brains behind CT Horror Fest, scheduled to be held Friday, Sept 16. and Saturday, Sept. 17 at the Naugatuck Events Center.
Press play to listen to the interview!
Christine’s interview starts about 9 minutes and 30 seconds into the show, after the two hosts double down on their dislike of “Tombstone,” a very unpopular opinion expressed on last week’s episode.
Visit CTHorror.com for tickets and info about Connecticut’s only horror convention.
2020 Presidential candidate and one-time New York City mayoral candidate Andrew Yang recently talked about growing up in Somers, N.Y., where he was one of a handful of kids of Asian descent.
(Language warning: there’s a surprising amount of foul language in this episode)
Your two insufferable hosts happened to be his (much less intelligent) classmates!
