Rory Burke, Seymour First Selectman Kurt Miller’s administrative assistant, won a seat on the Planning and Zoning Commission Tuesday, but won’t be able to serve because he’s a town employee.
Shortly after Burke topped a field of four candidates for the commission with 2,141 votes, Miller said that Republicans were mistaken in a previous interpretation that it was OK for Burke to serve in both roles.

Next Tuesday, Nov. 3, I will cast my vote for Zani Imetovski for First Selectman of Seymour.
He is a man of integrity who has accomplished much. As president of the University of New Haven Student Government he managed a one and a half million-dollar budget and ten employees. He served in Washington, DC as an intern for Senator Blumenthal. He managed a successful campaign for our State Representative, Theresa Conroy. He currently works as a legislative aid in Hartford.
