Ansonia High School cheerleaders will be collecting money Oct. 7 to donate to Griffin Hospital’s the “Valley Goes Pink” campaign.
The campaign raises money for the hospital’s Hewitt Center for Breast Wellness.
At Friday’s Ansonia football game against Holy Cross, the cheerleaders will be wearing pink socks, pink bows, along with pink pom poms during the game in honor of breast cancer awareness.
At halftime, the cheerleaders will go around Nolan Field with a pink megaphone collecting money for the cause. The cheerleaders will also have a box set up at a concession stand throughout this Friday’s game.
The football game is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. at Nolan Field in Ansonia.
