Ansonia's First African American Teacher To Be Honored

February is Black History Month and Mayor David S. Cassetti is proud to announce a special ceremony to be held on February 24th at 10:00 a.m. to honor Mr. Marvin H. Franks! Mr. Franks was the first certified African American teacher in the Ansonia Public Schools system who taught and coached for 40 years. The ceremony will be held at the Ansonia Senior Center, doors open at 9:30 a.m. for the 10:00 a.m. ceremony. Come show your love and support to Mr. Franks!
