Update: No verdict today, as the judge dismissed the jury a bit early.
Original post follows:
Jurors deliberating the case against Shelton developer James Botti this morning asked for the transcripts of testimony from three witnesses.
The jury sent out a note at 11:30 a.m. requesting the information.
The asked for testimony from Allan Cribbins, the former chairman of the Shelton Planning and Zoning Commission, along with testimony from former commissioners Daniel Orazietti and Leon Sylvester.
The jury zeroed in on a specific timeframe — events from June 12 to June 20, 2006.
That is the time between the Shelton Planning and Zoning Commission’s deliberations and its vote on a Botti’s commercial development at 828 Bridgeport Ave.
Prosecutors claim that Mayor Mark Lauretti helped win influence for that project after receiving a cash bribe from Botti.
Lauretti has not been charged with anything.
For more than an hour Friday, prosecutors and Botti’s, attorney William Dow III, went through testimony to pick out the relevant portions.
Since no written transcript has been prepared, the court reporter will read back the testimony to the jury after a short lunch break.
The proceeding was expected to resume at about 1:20 p.m.
The jury began deliberations Thursday afternoon and asked yesterday for clarification on wording in the indictment.
Botti is accused of bribing public officials in Shelton.
