State police are searching for a car that struck a boom lift on Route 8 in Naugatuck on Wednesday, injuring two workers.
Both workers were sent to Waterbury Hospital. Police described their injuries as “minor.”
The car was traveling north near exit 27 at about 2 a.m. when it hit the boom lift, which was parked in the right shoulder and extended over a travel lane.
According to a state police accident summary, one worker was operating the boom lift while the second worker was in the lift’s basket when they were hit.
The car kept going. Police did not provide a description of the evading vehicle.
