Celebrate Shelton Schedules Tree Lighting

SHELTON – Community members are invited to join Celebrate Shelton at the Rotary Pavilion at Veterans Memorial Park in Downtown Shelton for the tenth Annual Community Tree Lighting on Friday, December 1st at 5:00pm. The event is rain or shine.

Enjoy hot cocoa and cookies while shopping local artisan vendors, with fire hoop performances by Sarotonin Flow Performance Art, mobile bar with Bees Knees Bartending and Silver Sand Pizza Mobile Truck! The Shelton Intermediate Choir will perform at 7pm and community bonfires will be burning all evening by the Boy Scouts of the Housatonic Council.

The tree lighting will be held at 7:30pm. Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive thereafter on the Echo Hose Hook & Ladder Fire Truck. Children are encouraged to bring their letters to Santa and take a photo. Guests are reminded to bundle up in case it’s a chilly night and there will be a line for Santa.
