Five people were hurt, including two children, after a two-car crash on Route 188 in Oxford Wednesday afternoon.

A 3‑year-old child was transported by helicopter to the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center in Hartford due to the severity of the injuries, according to Oxford Patch.
Oxford police are investigating.
The crash happened at about 12:30 p.m., not far from the Christ Church preschool.
WTNH reported the crash involved a flat-bed truck and a vehicle carrying two children and their mother.
The road was closed until about 4:30 p.m., the Rep-Am reported.
People who live on the road took to the Valley Indy Facebook page Wednesday and complained that speeders are a major problem on the road.
