Communicare Inc, a collaborative between three mental health agencies — including Birmingham Group Health Services, Inc., Harbor Health Services, Inc. and Bridges, A Community Support System, Inc. — in partnership with the Cornell Scott-Hill Health Corporation, is pleased to announce its second health education lecture open to the public on May 24 – 10 a.m. at Birmingham Group Health Services, Inc. in Ansonia, 435 E. Main St.
As part of a federal grant award through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, CommuniCare will offer open forums throughout the year with a focus on health and wellness issues impacting the behavioral health population.
Dr. Dan Oren, Medical Director of Birmingham Group Health Services and Dr. Karin Michels, Medical Director of the Cornell Scott-Hill Health Corporation, will be discussing the importance of communication with providers to enhance mental and physical health outcomes.
