A contractor was hospitalized after injuring himself in a fall at a Shelton home Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency personnel were called to a home on Copper Penny Lane about 1:24 p.m. Tuesday after a man reportedly fell off a roof.
Police didn’t have any details Tuesday afternoon.
Homeowner Fernanda Goncalves said an employee of a contractor she hired to build an addition on her house was working on skylights there Tuesday when “he must have fell through” from the second floor to the first.
Goncalves said the man lost consciousness for about 10 minutes, but wanted to get up afterward. She said an ambulance took him to a hospital but didn’t know about his current condition.
Initial radio dispatches indicated the man was 30 years old and was bleeding from the head and mouth.
No further information was available Tuesday.
Earlier this month, Francisco Amaral, 46, of Benham Avenue in Bridgeport, was killed after falling from a roof at the Sunwood Condominium Complex, off Nells Rock Road.
Amaral was also working on skylights. Click here for that story.
