Rich Dziekan, the Republican candidate for Derby mayor, is hosting a grand opening at his campaign headquarters tonight (Thursday, Oct. 8).
The public is invited, according to a post on the candidate’s Facebook page. The event is scheduled for 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Dziekan’s campaign is based at 21 Elizabeth St., next to Archie Moore’s restaurant.
“If you haven’t met Rich or his team already, stop by HQ tonight!” a post on his Facebook page reads. “Looking forward to seeing you! And as always, thanks for the support!!!”
Dziekan, a retired Hamden police officer and a current member of the city’s tax board, is challenging incumbent Mayor Anita Dugatto, who was elected to the office in 2013.
Election Day is Nov. 3.
