The City’s fire marshal’s office is investigating what sparked a fire on a deck attached to the back of a house at 40 Woonsocket Ave.
The fire was reported by the homeowner at about 11:30 a.m., Shelton Assistant Fire Chief Paul Wilson said.
A deputy fire marshal was the first on the scene. A small fire was discovered on the deck. A water can doused the blaze. Firefighters laid down a hose, just in case.
No injuries were reported.
