Fundraiser To Benefit Ansonia Employee Diagnosed With Cancer

A ziti dinner fundraiser is scheduled for July 20 to benefit an Ansonia Public Works employee who has been diagnosed with cancer.

One of our own employees, Rich Velleco has recently been diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer,” read a July 7 post on the city’s Facebook page.

Velleco is also a past chief of the Ansonia Fire Department.

A fundraiser to benefit Velleco’s family is scheduled for July 20 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Assumption Church Hall on North Cliff Street.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under.
