Honda Accord Stolen In Ansonia

Someone stole a Honda Accord from a busy gas station in broad daylight Dec. 20.

The car’s owner sent a message to the Valley Indy saying he stopped at the Shell gas station at 696 Main St. about 11:45 a.m. to get a drink and cigarettes. Someone got into his car and drove away while he was inside.

The stolen car is a gray 2005 Honda Accord with a CT registration of AD70693.

The car was last seen driving on Main Street/Route 115 toward Target.

According to information from the car’s owner and police, the person who stole the car was described as a white male with a light beard wearing a black hat and black gloves. At least two people saw the man get into the car and drive away.

Ansonia Police Lt. Patrick Lynch reminded residents to never leave their cars unlocked.

The police department reminds all vehicle owners to never leave the cars running and unlocked anywhere especially now during the cold weather when people want to warm up or keep their car warm,” Lynch said in an email.

Anyone with information about this crime should call the police at (203) 735‑1885.
