Oxford Police Search For Car Burglars

Oxford police are looking for two young men suspected of stealing items from unlocked vehicles in the Punkup Road area Sept. 18.

At least six vehicles were hit, police said.

The Resident State Trooper’s office Monday released two photos captured from a resident’s driveway surveillance camera. The hope is that someone may be able to come forward with information on the two thieves.

The two photographs show two thin white males who appear to possibly be teenagers, or possibly in their early 20s.

One has short-cropped hair and one wears a ball cap.

The video shows they parked their bicycles down the end of the driveway, then approached the unlocked car.

Anyone with information that could help solve the case should call the trooper’s office at 203 – 888-4353.

The bandits worked in the early morning hours on bicycles, taking change and electronic gadgets from cars on Silano Drive, Punkup Road, Belinsky Circle, and Tetlak Lane.
