Pinwheel Studios Opens In Shelton March 15

Pinwheel Studios proudly announces its grand opening at 60 Todd Road in Shelton, in the Wonder Years Learning Center building.

A free grand opening event will be held on Sunday, March 15th, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The new company, owned by Gina Scarpa, will offer creative classes and events for parents and children of all ages including vocal performance lessons and birthday parties.

“I am so excited to continue and expand upon the creative work my parents have done within this community for the last four decades,” said Scarpa.

Gina has been teaching and directing alongside her parents, Gary and Francesca Scarpa, for over 15 years.

Besides assisting with the Shelton High School Drama Club and Youth CONNection musicals, she currently oversees the “On Stage at Perry Hill” program and Center Stage summer camp. She also created the Teen Musical Theatre Workshop, and continues to direct middle and high school students each fall along with her sister, Mia Scarpa.

The Pinwheel Studios grand opening will feature a tour of the building, light snacks and beverages, special performances, character appearances, and more. Parents will receive information about upcoming classes and events, and can inquire about booking a birthday party for their child.

Upcoming events at Pinwheel include a Pediatric First Aid/CPR certification course for adults, April vacation day camp for kids, and parent/child music classes.

“It is my hope that Pinwheel Studios will bring families together and instill a love of the arts from a very early age, as well as create memorable experiences that will be talked about for years to come,” said Scarpa.
