A 48-year-old Ansonia man was arrested on a laundry list of drug-related charges after city police raided his Beaver Street apartment Sept. 26.
Police allege they found a half pound of cocaine, along with an unspecified amount of marijuana and prescription drugs in the apartment where Dominic Sarracco lived.
Police also allege they found drug packaging material and $1,500 cash in Saccacco’s apartment, which was on the second floor of 195 Beaver St.
Ansonia Police Chief Kevin Hale announced the arrest at a meeting of the city’s police commission last night. A press release was issued this morning.
Sarracco is being held on a $75,000 bond, according to the state’s online court database. He’s already made two court appearances, is being represented by a public defender and has not entered a plea.
He is scheduled to appear in Superior Court in Derby on Oct. 14.
According to police, Sarracco was charged with:
- Four counts of possession of narcotics
- One count of possession of narcotics with intent to sell
- Six counts of possession of narcotics/controlled substance within 1,500 feet of a daycare
- Two counts of possession of narcotics/controlled substance with intent to sell within 1,500 feet of a daycare
- Two counts of possession of marijuana/controlled substance
- Three counts of failure to keep narcotic in original container
- One count of possession of drug paraphernalia
- One count of possession of drug paraphernalia within 1,500 feet of a daycare
- One count of possession of marijuana with intent to sell
