The Plumb Memorial Library will be offering a special program called Rethinking Your Retirement: Your Next Steps” The program will be held on Thursday, November 21st at 6:30 p.m. in the Meeting Room of the Plumb Memorial Library at 65 Wooster Street in Shelton.

Rethinking Retirement: A New Perspective on Your Next Chapter — Transitioning from Career Success to a Fulfilling Retirement” will discover a fresh approach to retirement that goes beyond financial planning. This interactive program will help you as you transition from your career to a dynamic and fulfilling new phase of life. 

Through activities and discussion, we will explore the importance of:

· Making a Smooth Transition from Career to Retirement (or your What’s Next”)

· Finding Purpose and Fulfillment

· Staying Active and Engaged

· Nurturing Social Connections

It will help you to reimagine retirement as an exciting opportunity for personal growth, adventure, and lasting impact and transform your retirement from a time of uncertainty to a period of opportunity and renewed purpose.

Encouraged to attend would be:

· Business Professionals within 2 – 5 years of retirement.

· Recent retirees seeking to enhance their retirement journey.

· Anyone interested in a more fulfilling approach later in life.

The program will be presented by Lori Candela, founder of Retiring on Purpose, LLC, is a dynamic speaker with a calming presence. She engages her audience with interactive discussions and activities and ensures they walk away with new insights and actionable takeaways Using design thinking, Lori now collaborates with successful professionals as they transition into retirement by helping them reflect, define non-financial objectives, and develop a meaningful Retirement Journey Roadmap.
