Seymour Resident Urges Two-Party Representation In Town

Dear Editor:

I hope that the people of the Town of Seymour do not simply sit back and allow the Republican party to control the Boards for which there are Democratic candidates on the ballot for election on November 5th.

In order to provide a safeguard against absolute control of Seymour’s town government by a First Selectman, I would like to take this opportunity to urge everyone to vote for the Democratic Candidates for the Board of Selectmen. Paul Roy, Karen Stanek, Preet Singh and Zani Imetovski are individuals who care deeply for the Town of Seymour and will work to continue to make the Town of Seymour a great place to live with a fiscally responsible government which cares for the people of Seymour. Election of the four Democratic Candidates to the Seymour Board of Selectmen will allow a more efficient and better functioning town government. They will be able to serve as watchdogs of the Republican First Selectman. Indeed we must not vest absolute power in the Office of the First Selectman without a Board of Selectmen which is able to balance the town government and assure that the First Selectman is guided by the points of view of all of the people of the Town of Seymour.

Sincerely yours,

Saundra Gesek
