SHELTON — Here is the weekly list of calls for service for the Shelton Fire Department, compiled and submitted by fire marshal James Tortora.

SHELTON VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT INCIDENT RESPONSES

On 9/23/24 at 10:43 am the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 and the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to a fire alarm activated at the Riverdale Restaurant #510 River Road. There was no fire.

On 9/23/24 at 12:33 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to an activated fire alarm at #2 Rosedale Circle. There was no fire.

On 9/23/24 at 3:56 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to an activated fire alarm at 

Little Barn #901 Bridgeport Avenue. There was no fire.

On 9/24/24 at 1:42 am the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to #723 Long Hill Avenue to assist EMS.

On 9/24/24 at 2:27 am the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 and the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to a fire alarm activated at #95 Spoke Drive. There was no fire.

On 9/24/24 at 7:55 am the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 and the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to a fire alarm activated at #23 Cold Spring Circle. There was no fire.

On 9/24/24 at 10:53 am the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 and the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to a fire alarm activated at #1 Forest Parkway. There was no fire.

On 9/24/24 at 11:05 am the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1, Pine Rock Park Co. #4 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to #42 Wakelee Avenue Extension for a structure fire. Upon arrival firefighter found a fire had occurred in a single-family home. The fire was out and all occupants evacuated safely. The home was filled with smoke cause by the fire. The fire cause extensive damage to the kitchen stove cabinets and nearby contents. The house also sustained smoke damage.

Shelton EMS also responded to the scene.

On 9/25/24 at 7:22 am the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1, Pine Rock Park Co. #4 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to dumpster fire against a building at #415 Howe Avenue. Upon arrival firefighters found the dumpster fully engulfed in fire and against a four-story building. Firefighters kept the fire contained and prevented the fire from entering the building through windows. Firefighters were assisted by the Derby FD and Monroe FD. Shelton EMS was also on the scene.

On 9/25/24 at 9:42 am the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 and the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to a fire alarm activated at #1 Forest Parkway. There was no fire.

On 9/25/24 at 9:52 am the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to an activated fire alarm at #117 Wesley Drive. There was no fire.

On 9/25/24 at 11:17 am the Huntington Co. #3 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a motor vehicle accident Huntington Street.

On 9/25/24 at 4:49 pm the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to #11 Woodland Park to assist EMS.

On 9/25/24 at 6:57 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to an activated fire alarm at the Hyatt House Hotel at #830 Bridgeport Avenue. There was no fire.

On 9/26/24 at 9:11 am the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to #35 Richards Boulevard for a carbon monoxide alarm sounding.

On 9/26/24 at 11:44 am the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to an activated fire alarm at #580 Long Hill Avenue. There was no fire.

On 9/26/24 at 12:26 pm the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 and the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to a fire alarm activated at #25 Forest Parkway. There was no fire.

On 9/27/24 at 12:56 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to batteries overheating in a work trailer in the rear of #100 Trap Falls Road Extension.

On 9/ 27/24 at 3:43 pm the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to #494 Bridgeport Avenue for a public service call.

On 9/28/24 at 2:25 pm the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the Pine Rock Park Co. #4 responded to Antonio’s Pizza at #376 River Road for an activated fire alarm. There was no fire.

On 9/28/24 at 3:26 pm the Huntington Co. #3 and the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 responded to an activated fire alarm at100 Parrott Drive. There was no fire.

On 9/28/24 at 5:25 pm the Huntington Fire Co. #3 responded to Ballaro Drive for an animal rescue.

On 9/28/24 at 9:58 pm the White Hills Co. #5 and the Huntington Co. #3 responded to #368 Leavenworth Road for a truck on fire in the rear. 

On 9/29/24 at 5:46 pm the Echo Hose H & L Co. #1 and the White Hills Co. #5 responded to a fire alarm activated at the Sinsabaugh Heights Housing Complex #187 Meadow Street. There was no fire.
