The Buck Stop Citgo Gas Station on Shelton Avenue was robbed at knife point Sunday.
It was the second robbery at the shop this month, but police do not believe the two incidents are connected.
Shelton police said two men dressed in black entered the store at the gas station at about 11 p.m. Sunday (Dec. 18) and displayed a knife. They took an undetermined amount of cash out of the register.
Nobody was injured, police said.
Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call Shelton police at (203) 924‑1544.
On Dec. 9, a robber fired a shot inside the gas station store after deciding the clerk wasn’t moving fast enough to get him his cash. No one was injured in that incident, which happened at about 8 p.m.
Police later arrested George Siler, 21, and Anthony Parowski, 24, both of Stratford, for the first robbery.
Siler is charged with unlawful discharge of a firearm, first-degree robbery, criminal possession of a firearm, carrying a pistol without a permit, fourth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery, first-degree reckless endangerment and possession of cocaine. He’s being held on a $360,000 bond.
Parowski is charged with first-degree robbery, interfering with a search warrant, conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery, two counts of criminal possession of a firearm, illegal possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana with intent to sell. He’s being held on a $650,000 bond.
Shop owner Nazir Makhdon declined to comment on the robberies, saying he didn’t want to bring any more attention to the store.
