Shelton PD Asks For Public’s Help In Animal Investigation

Shelton police are asking the public for information about a dog found dragging a metal chain on Booth Hill Road this month.

Shelton Police Lt. Robert Kozlowsky gave the following details about the case in a prepared statement issued Thursday (March 6) afternoon:

About 6:30 p.m. March 3, a Shelton police officer was sent to a residential address on a report of a found dog. The homeowner reported that she was driving on Booth Hill Road when she saw a dog come out of the woods and walk through traffic.

The dog appeared scared, thin and was dragging a metal chain. The female took the dog in her vehicle and drove to her residence.

The officer transported the dog to a veterinary emergency center for examination. The dog is currently being cared for at the Shelton Animal Shelter.

An investigation is being conducted by animal control.

Anyone with any information about the case is asked to call the Shelton Animal Shelter at 203 – 924-2501.
