
SHELTON – A 53-year-old man was charged with first-degree assault and disorderly conduct after allegedly attacking a man inside a residence on Chamberlain Drive.
Jeffrey Kershner, of Shelton, was scheduled to be arraigned in Superior Court in Derby on Monday (June 13).
According to a statement from police, officers and an EMS crew responded to the residence at about 8 p.m. on Sunday (June 12).
A 50-year-old man told police Kershner entered the residence and “stabbed him in the neck with some type of plastic knife.”
Police said the victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for two neck lacerations.
Police said the victim did not know Kershner, but the two had a mutual friend who was at the residence.
