The Shelton Police Department received the silver award at AAA Southern New England’s annual Community Traffic Safety Awards luncheon on Friday, Nov. 18.
Chief Joel W. Hurliman accepted the award on behalf of the department.
The award was in recognition of outstanding achievements in traffic safety and for efforts to educate and protect the citizens of the community.
