Shelton Police Search Home, Make Drug Arrest

Shelton police Friday arrested a Shelton man on a variety of drug charges. 

Police charged Josue Ramirez, 20, with illegal possession of narcotics, possession of less than 4 ounces of marijuana, possession of narcotics with intent to sell, possess of drug paraphernalia and two counts of risk of injury to a minor. 

Police had a search warrant for Ramirez’s home on Cornell Street and found a bottle with 46 ecstasy pills, and about 2 ounces of marijuana, according to a statement released by Lt. Robert Kozlowsky. 

Some of the marijuana was allegedly packaged for sales, and police said they also found packaging material. 

Ramirez was released on a $25,000 bond and scheduled to appear at Superior Court in Derby on Sept. 12. 

Police also arrested Abimael Ramirez, 22, of Cornell Street for allegedly interfering with an officer. Abimael Ramirez allegedly did not comply with officers while police were conducting a search warrant at the home. He was released on a $1,000 bond and is scheduled to appear at Superior Court in Derby on Sept. 12.
