Ansonia PD Makes More Drug Arrests

Just received the following press release from the Ansonia Police Department:

In a continuing effort to reduce illicit drug sales in Ansonia the following people were arrested by arrest warrant(s):

Sheridan McCarthy, age 24
4 Sixth Street
Ansonia, CT

1st warrant: Conspiracy to Commit Sale of Narcotics (Cocaine) – $50,000 bond. Arraigned 10-24-2011

2nd warrant: Conspiracy to Commit Sale of Narcotics (Cocaine), Possession of Narcotics, and Sale of Narcotics – $50,000 bond. Arraigned on 10-24-2011.

Frank Perry, age 23
15 Hubbell Ave
Ansonia, CT 06401

Charged with Sale of Narcotics (Cocaine), Possession of Narcotics, Possession within 1500 of a School, and Possession within 1500 feet of a School with Intent to Sell. Held on $75,000 bond. Arraigned on 10-31-2011

Curtis Meyers, age 47
21 East Street
Ansonia, CT 06401

Charged on 3 Warrants: All three warrants had Sale of Narcotics (Cocaine, Heroin and Prescription Drugs), Possession of Narcotics, Possession within 15000 of a School, and Possession within 1500 of a School with Intent to Sell. One warrant had an additional charged of Risk of Injury to a Minor (Minor present during drug deal). He was held on a total of $150,000 bond and arraigned on 10-31-2011. 

Nigel Troupe, age 24 
228 Pequannock Street
Bridgeport, CT 

Charged on 4 total Warrants: All 4 warrants had Sale of Narcotics (Cocaine), Possession of Narcotics, Conspiracy to Commit Sale of Narcotics, and Held on $200,000 total bond. Arraigned on 10-31-2011.

These arrests are a direct result of a coordinated response to complaints by residents and business owners in Ansonia, especially the North End of Ansonia to include the Liberty Park Apartments. Curtis Meyers was one of the intended targets of the Search and Seizure Warrants conducted on 10-27-2011. 

More arrests are still expected in response to these investigations.
