Two Oxford High School football assistant coaches have been suspended from the team following a heated argument in front of players after a game last week, Oxford Patch reported.
Coaches Carl Paternoster and Gerard Carbonaro have been suspended for an incident that occurred one week ago, on Thursday, Oct. 6, in a locker room following the team’s tough loss to Bethel High School, OHS Athletic Director and Vice Principal Glenn Lungarini confirmed to Oxford Patch.
Carbonaro is also running as a Republican for a seat on the Oxford Board of Education.
