Albert J. “Butch” Farina Jr., age 75, entered eternal rest on October 13, 2024, at Yale New Haven Hospital.
He was the beloved husband of fifty-two years to Pamela A. Pergola Farina. Butch was born in Bridgeport on March 22, 1949, son of the late Albert J. Farina Sr. and Mary Kennedy Farina. He was a graduate of Ansonia High School class of 1967 and resided in Milford since 1998. Butch was employed at Scan Tool and Mold in Stratford and later retired from the former Spectrum Plastics in Ansonia.
He was a huge classic car enthusiast and previously owned a 1967 Mustang convertible. Butch was meticulous about tending to his yard and garden. He loved the beach and vacationing to the Bahamas, Florida, California, Cape May NJ, and Wildwood Crest NJ. He enjoyed playing golf, especially his weekly round at the Orchards in Milford. Spending time with his family and grandchildren meant everything to Butch.
He was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and the New York Giants. In addition to his wife Pamela, Butch leaves to cherish his memory, a son, Mark S. Farina of Windsor, a daughter, Michele A. Vitiello (Silverio) of Milford, brothers, Robert Farina (Mimi) of Havelock, NC, and Frederick Farina (Joyce) of RI, sisters, Barbara Farina of Trumbull, Robin Racine (Fran) of Winsted, and Laurie Mahar (James) of Thomaston, grandchildren, Mario and Natalia Vitiello of Milford along with several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, James Farina.
All are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Friday October 18, 2024, by meeting directly at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia at 10:00 am. Burial will be private. The SPINELLI-RICCIUTI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia has been privileged with the arrangements.
